# Connect Perplexity

> Add levios as a custom remote connector in Perplexity.

<Note>
  Available tools and activation support depend on your current connection. After
  connecting, ask the agent to check the available operations before creating an
  automation.
</Note>

## Add the connector

Remote MCP connectors are a paid feature. Perplexity documents them for Pro,
Max, and Enterprise subscribers. A workspace administrator may need to allow
custom connectors before you can add one.

1. Open **Settings > Connectors**.
2. Add a custom remote connector.
3. Enter `https://levios.app/api/mcp` as the MCP server URL.
4. Choose **OAuth** as the authentication method.
5. Sign in to levios in the browser window that opens.
6. Review the permissions and Instagram accounts, then approve the request.

Perplexity also supports local connectors that run as a process on your machine.
levios is not one of those. It is a remote endpoint, so use the custom remote
connector path.

Menu labels change between Perplexity releases and between the desktop and web
apps. Read
[Perplexity's custom remote connector guide](https://www.perplexity.ai/help-center/en/articles/13915507-adding-custom-remote-connectors)
for the current path and plan requirements rather than treating the steps above
as exact.

## Verify access

Ask Perplexity to list your levios accounts or automations. The result must
contain only accounts included in the grant. Tools that need permissions you did
not approve will not appear.

If the connector has no tools, open **Settings > MCP** in levios and check its
status, permissions, and account access. Revoke the connection and start again
if you need to choose a different permission set.

Perplexity offers API key and open authentication for custom connectors. Do not
use them here. levios authenticates through the browser authorization flow, and
it does not accept a client-supplied key.
