# Connect Cursor

> Add levios as a remote MCP server in Cursor.

<Note>
  Hosted Cursor has completed levios authorization and authenticated read calls.
  The recorded run did not capture the exact Cursor version, build, or negotiated
  MCP revision. The result is observed compatibility, not formal validation.
</Note>

## Add the server

Cursor reads custom MCP servers from `mcp.json`. Choose one location:

* Use `.cursor/mcp.json` inside a project to make levios available only in that
  project.
* Use `~/.cursor/mcp.json` to make levios available in every project.

Add this remote server entry:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "levios": {
      "url": "https://levios.app/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

If the file already has other servers, add the `levios` entry inside the
existing `mcpServers` object instead of replacing the file.

After Cursor loads the server, complete the OAuth flow in the browser. Sign in
to levios, review the permissions and Instagram accounts, and approve the
request. Then return to Cursor and ask it to list your levios accounts.

See [Cursor's MCP configuration guide](https://cursor.com/docs/mcp) for the
current configuration locations and remote server format.

## Verify access

Ask Cursor to list your levios accounts or automations. The result must contain
only accounts included in the grant. Tools that need permissions you did not
approve will not appear.

If the server has no tools, open **Settings > MCP** in levios and check its
status, permissions, and account access. Revoke the connection and start again
if you need to choose a different permission set.

Do not add headers, an API key, or a bearer token to this entry. Cursor uses the
server's OAuth flow.
