# Pagination

> Page through API v1 list endpoints with opaque cursors.

List endpoints return an `items` array and a `next_cursor`. The first request
does not need a cursor.

```bash theme={null}
curl --request GET \
  --url "https://levios.app/api/v1/accounts?limit=25" \
  --header "Accept: application/json" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer ${LEVIOS_API_KEY}"
```

## Request the next page

If `next_cursor` is a string, pass it unchanged as `cursor` on the next request:

```bash theme={null}
curl --request GET \
  --url "https://levios.app/api/v1/accounts?limit=25&cursor=${LEVIOS_CURSOR}" \
  --header "Accept: application/json" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer ${LEVIOS_API_KEY}"
```

When `next_cursor` is `null`, you have reached the last page.

## Page size

The default page size is 25. Set `limit` to an integer from 1 through 50. The
API returns `422` with `api_invalid_limit` when the value is outside that
range.

## Cursor rules

Cursors are opaque and tied to their resource. Do not decode, edit, or reuse a
cursor with another endpoint. The API returns `422` with `api_invalid_cursor`
when it cannot accept the value.

Keep the cursor in a URL query parameter. Encode it with your HTTP client's
query-string utilities instead of joining a URL by hand.
